Sermons

As Christians, we worship a God of Words.  God clearly wants to make Himself known.  He has done this not only by what we see outside in nature, but especially in a living book.   This book, called the Bible or Scriptures, prompted Jesus to say to the people of His day, “You search the Scripture because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me” (John 5:39)

Thus, each message that we teach is not only from the Scriptures, but point to the ONE of whom they testify.  Eternal life is found in the person of Jesus, not the book itself. Our method of teaching is called “expositional” which means the points of the sermon are based upon the text of Scripture itself.  We take the timeless truths contained in the Scriptures and clearly, practically apply them to our lives today.

Expressing Love through Admonishment

In today's passage we look at the motive and goal of Paul's admonishment of the Corinthian church. We examine how this teaches us to think about shame, love, family, and how the grace of God conforms us to Jesus' image. We conclude by looking at the promise and the warning of Christian admonishment.
