Here is the reading of biblical promises I offered at the end of the Christmas Eve service morning service. May God bless you with faith and hope in His Word for the coming year!

“Having manifested the glory of God’s grace and truth in fullness…Jesus has left us with many precious promises as we look backward and forward in this life. Some of you are here looking back at 2017 as the worst year of your life…some of you are looking back at 2017 as the best year of your life… yet the majority are probably somewhere in between. But regardless of whether God has set you in a valley or on a mountain top this morning…I want to close with His enduring promises to all of you who are in Christ Jesus. Hear His words of grace and truth to you…

Isaiah 54:7 For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you, says the LORD your REDEEMER.

Psalm 30:5, 11 For weeping may tarry for the night but joy comes in the morning…

2 Cor 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart though our outer self is wasting away our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison as we look not to the things that are seen, but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal

2 Cor 5:4 For while we are still in our earthly body we groan, being burned—not that we would be unclothed but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

1 Cor 15:53 For this perishable body must put on the imperishable and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death where is your victory? O death where is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

Isaiah 55:12-13 For we shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before us shall break forth into singing, and all the tress of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the briar shall come up the myrtle and it shall make a name for the LORD, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

1 John 3:2 Beloved we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see him as He is.

1 Cor 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; but then I shall know fully even as I HAVE BEEN fully known.

Rev 7:17 Then we shall hunger no more neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike us nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be our shepherd and he will guide us to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from our eyes.

Daniel 12:2-3 Those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. But those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

Rev 22:5-6 And night will be no more. We will need no light of lamp or sun, for the LORD God will be our light and we will reign forever and ever. These words are trustworthy and true.
